About Me🌿
I’m Shevanthi (Shev) Collure, a Registered Social Worker and Psychotherapist based in the Greater Toronto Area. I have more than 20 years of experience in mental health and social work across Ontario, including inpatient, outpatient, and community settings. Over the last 13 years, I have focused on providing psychotherapy to individuals and groups, with the last 6 years devoted to treating trauma and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
I understand how deeply trauma can impact your daily life. You may be struggling with nightmares or flashbacks, feeling on edge, or avoiding people and places that remind you of the past. This can make your world feel smaller and relationships harder to maintain. My goal is to help you break free from those patterns so you can begin to heal and feel more like yourself again.
I offer evidence-based, structured, and time-limited therapies including Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Prolonged Exposure Therapy (PE), and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy for Depression (CBT). These treatments have been extensively researched and are considered highly effective for trauma and PTSD. Together, we’ll find the approach that best matches your needs and goals.
I provide therapy virtually across Ontario and in person in the Greater Toronto Area, making it easier to access care wherever you are. Most extended health benefit plans cover psychotherapy with a Registered Social Worker, and I provide receipts you can submit for reimbursement.
My practice is inclusive and affirming; I welcome individuals of all backgrounds and strive to create a safe, respectful, and supportive space for every client.
